Scallywags is a privately owned freehold centre trading as Scallywags Child Care Pty Ltd. The Centre and company are owned by Mark and Glenda Davis. In the early 1990's when we were planning our family, one of our considerations was child care. We were dissatisfied with the care that was then available in the area and so decided to build and staff our own centre. We opened in July 1994 and our three month old son Michael was our first enrolment. Continuing this trend, our daughter Laura finished at the start of 2006.

Glenda has a background in financial management and Mark has been self employed in service oriented industries. The centre is licensed by the Department of Families, Youth and Community Care, registered with the National Childcare Accreditation Council, approved for the Federal Childcare Benefit subsidy and affiliated with Childcare Queensland.

We are deeply committed to providing high quality care and welcome any feedback which can help in continuing to achieve this.

The Centre policies reflect the 2003 licensing regulations to which our Centre adheres.

The policies reflect our approach to everyday Centre matters and a copy of our Policy and Procedures Manual is available in each room, near the sign in sheets. A copy is also kept in the office and is available for your perusal.
